Some general guidelines for the shape and size of your piece:
(Please fax or email a sample during the design phase of your project if
you are unsure of compliance)
Post Cards: (postcard rate)
Minimum 3.5" x 5" x .007" thick
Maximum 4.25" x 6" x .016" thick
Letters: (including oversized postcards and self-mailers*)
Minimum 3.5" x 5" x .009" thick (we recommend 10pt cover stock due to
variations in thickness)
Maximum 6.125" x 11.5" x .25" thick
NOTE: post cards and letters must also be rectangular in shape and must
be longer than they are in height. Divide the length of the piece the
height of the piece determine aspect ratio. The sum (Aspect Ratio) must
be between 1.3 and 2.5.
Flats: (any dimension that exceeds any one of the letter maximums
could be a flat)
Minimum usually 6" x 6" x .009" thick
Maximum usually 12" x 15" x .75" thick
Addressing Space: Your mailing piece should have a clear zone
void of printing, varnish, laminate or aqueous coating for the printing
of the address and barcode. Address printing zone should be at least
3.75" length x 1.5" height.
Postage: If utilizing our mailing permit, postage MUST be received 48
hours in advance of the mailing date. Estimated postage payments will
suffice until the actual postage is determined. Any difference in
postage will be applied to the service invoice. A postage check request
sheet will be faxed if you are unable to requisition a check for
approximate postage. Please, make checks payable to ProMail. If using
your permit, please be advised that the account MUST contain sufficient
funds to cover the postage costs of the mailing.
Terms: Prepayment on ALL services is required on the first order.
For all orders thereafter, "15-day terms" will be granted for services
only upon acceptance of a credit application.
Estimates: Our services and postage estimates are valid for 30
days, and are subject to changed based on review of "live data" and
mailing components, once they have been received by ProMail.
Lead Time: Please, allow 3-5 business days upon receipt of ALL
materials for mailing to be processed. Large or more complicated
assembly projects may require an extended lead-time.
